A duplex unit in Pinellas Park had stained ceiling tiles from an old AC drain leak and buzzing fluorescent fixtures in the kitchen and hallway. The owner wanted the ceiling cleaned up and modern lighting without tearing out the grid.
We replaced the water-stained tiles, removed the fluorescent troffers and installed slim LED flush-mount fixtures on new tile panels, giving the space brighter, quieter light.
Project goals
The goal was a clean ceiling and better lighting using the existing grid and wiring.
tile replacement
Stained and sagging tiles swapped for matching new panels.
LED fixtures
Fluorescent troffers replaced with slim LED flush mounts on existing circuits.
Project challenges
We confirmed the AC drain leak had been repaired and the plenum was dry before installing new tiles.
- verifying the leak source was fixed
- matching discontinued ceiling tile style
- mounting fixtures securely to the grid
- disposing of old fluorescent tubes properly
The result
The kitchen and hall are brighter, the buzz is gone and the ceiling looks new. Completed in one day. Planning something similar? Read more about our Fixtures, Fans & TV Mounting service or request a free estimate.
