Our house painting service covers the jobs most St. Petersburg homeowners actually need: refreshing a faded exterior, repainting a detached garage or shed, rolling new color through a bedroom, or bringing a rental back to move-in condition. We handle the whole job ourselves, from scraping and caulking to cutting clean lines along trim, so you deal with one crew and one written price.
Pinellas County is hard on paint. Strong UV, salt air within a few miles of the bay, summer downpours and constant humidity break down cheap coatings fast. That is why our exterior work starts with washing, scraping loose paint, spot-priming bare wood and sealing every gap with a paintable elastomeric caulk before any finish coat goes on.
Why prep matters more than paint
Peeling and blistering almost always trace back to moisture or poor adhesion, not the brand of paint. We test old coatings, fix soft wood and failed caulk first, and use 100% acrylic exterior paint rated for high-UV climates. Inside, we patch nail pops and dings so the new color does not highlight old damage.

What every painting job includes
Before we open a can, you get a written scope that lists surfaces, number of coats, colors and the prep steps. Typical inclusions:
- pressure wash or wipe-down of every painted surface
- scraping, sanding and spot-priming bare wood
- caulking gaps at trim, windows and siding seams
- two finish coats and a final touch-up walkthrough
How long does house painting take?
A single interior room usually takes one day including ceiling and trim. A detached garage or small cottage exterior takes two to three days, depending on how much scraping is needed and how the afternoon storms behave. In summer we start early so the finish coats are on and dry before the rain rolls in.
We schedule exterior work around the forecast and never paint over damp wood. If a section needs carpentry first, such as rotted fascia or a split trim board, we replace it as part of the same visit so the paint goes on a sound surface.

Most standard bedrooms run $450 to $750 for walls and trim with two coats, depending on size, ceiling height and how much patching the walls need. We give a written price after a free look at the room.
Yes. We start early in the morning, watch the radar and only paint dry surfaces. Afternoon storms in St. Pete are predictable enough that we rarely lose a day.
We use 100% acrylic exterior paints and low-VOC interior paints from major brands. If you already have a preferred brand or color code, we are happy to use it.
Absolutely. Small painting jobs like a front door, shutters or a garage door are a good fit for a handyman visit and often take only a few hours.
